When you start to find you can't pick up any more parts, switch to selling things.Just dismantle any that are much lower than the level you are at to stock up on parts quickly. Do this after the first mission to get rid of your beginner weapons. You can do it straight from your inventory. You don't have to visit a Workbench to scrap things.So always make sure you can't craft anything better with the weapons that are closer to your level already. Level matching can be expensive though.If you've taken a liking to one, don't forget to repair it, and of course, level-match it so you can take it along for the entire ride. When you're at the Workbenches, dismantle any weapons that you're not using or do less damage that the better ones you've picked up. Following on from that, break down, repair, and level-match your weapons.This way you can customize it to make the most of your Slayer's Innate Abilities, your Skill Card build, or just because your playstyle prefers to blow everything up. If you've got a favorite weapon, test out new mods and perks on it. Visit Workbenches often to experiment and upgrade.Misplaced a favorite weapon or don't have enough room to pick it up? Visit the Unclaimed Property section to find all of the weapons you've left behind. Check Unclaimed Property in any Locker and be reunited with your lost treasures.Don't open all the Fuse Boxes too early though! Weapons scale with your Slayer's level in Dead Island 2, so if you want to find some rarer weapons, wait until you're a bit further into the game before you open those Fuse Boxes.However, you can only carry 3 at a time, so make sure you top up each time you see a vendor. They can be picked up from Vendors all across the districts and cost $1500 each. Don't waste your time looking for Fuses around Hell-A, as they can only be bought. Just watch out for alarms, and destroy them immediately to prevent hordes from appearing. Other times, a light bit of breaking and entering will remove the need to find a key entirely. Sometimes you'll simply need a breaker, or to destroy a maglock like in the first mission. you don't always need a key to get into a locked door. Check out How to Fast Travel to find out exactly when it unlocks and how to use it. Once you do, use it to zip around Hell-A and make short work of cleaning up on Side Quests and Collectibles. Dead Island 2 does have fast travel, but you don't unlock it until well into the game.There are Points of Interest in all ten zones, but not only that, some Collectibles will begin Side Quests that can only be found from a little bit of investigating. Explore everywhere! Markers will guide you through the main story missions and Side Quests, but they won't show you everything each district has to offer.To change your Field of View go to Options then Display. Turn up the FOV Slider! Be warned that this may cause some adverse performance issues, but even with it turned all the way up we didn't notice any change in performance on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X.At that point, you will need to start all over again even if your character was level 15 or 20 so make sure you are prepared before taking the leap into a new game. The only way you can change characters is if you choose the slayers option in the main menu and choose to start a new game with a new character. Once you make this choice, you will have to stick with it. Once you make your choice of what character you want to play as, you will get told that you cannot change this later on and that you are stuck with this slayer throughout the entirety of the story. When you start the campaign, you will get to choose one of six characters to start the game as. If you are bored with playing as the same character throughout the entire Dead Island 2 campaign, it might bum you out to know that you cannot change your character. There are six different slayers in the game, each with their own unique abilities. For whatever reason, you want to change to a different character and give them a try.
